Essential Job Functions:
A First Class A/C Technician should be able to perform all daily tasks within the A/C Department without supervision. Must have full understanding of the basic theory of refrigerant cycle, condensing temperatures/pressure and sub cooling as well as full understanding of absorption of heat and evaporation and super heat. Understand the theory of operation of compressors, TXV’s cap tubes, evaporators/chiller barrel. Condenser (air and water), sea water pump, chill water pump, pipe sizing of water and refrigerant, cold plates. Understanding control of oil flow and refrigerant oil in the compressor. Troubleshooting, operations and maintenance of all aspects of the systems. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Experience Desired:
High school diploma or its equivalent required. Over 5 years experience in the field or in a related area. ABYC certification a plus. Marine knowledge required.
Knowledge Desired:
Highly motivated individual to set example to others in the department. Team player. Good communication skills. Detail oriented, organized and an effective planner.

Leadership quality and able to lead a group. High level of punctuality and professionalism towards clients and co-workers.
