Medical Coverage
Merrill-Stevens understands the importance of having medical coverage that secures the well being of its employees and their families; therefore, we offer three different options for medical coverage including health, dental and vision.  This gives employees flexibility based on individual needs.   Employees are covered 100% by the company of the cost for the HMO coverage with the option to enroll dependents at an additional cost.



Flexible Spending Accounts

Health care spending accounts are a great way to save money on healthcare expenses by paying for them with pre-tax dollars. These accounts permit a maximum contribution of $5,000 per year and Dependent Day Care accounts permit a maximum contribution of $2,400 per year

Insurance 

Basic Life Term and AD&D Insurance
Merrill-Stevens is aware of the importance of offering employees life insurance coverage that will ease their minds in case of an unexpected loss or accident. Basic term life and AD&D is provided by the company at one times base annual salary up to a maximum of $200,000 at no cost to the employee.



Voluntary Term Life & AD&D Employee & Family Coverage
Merrill-Stevens also offers the option to enroll in voluntary employee and family coverage. Employee option is available up to 5 times the annual salary with a maximum of $500,000. Spouse coverage is available up to 50% of the employee amount with a maximum of $250,000 and child(ren) coverage can be obtained up to 50% of employee coverage with a maximum of $2,000.

 Short Term Disability

Short Term Disability
This benefit is paid for by the company at no cost to the employee. The 12 week duration provides coverage at 60% of weekly base salary with a maximum of $2,500.



Voluntary Long Term Disability Benefit
This coverage can be obtained at the employee’s expense with coverage of 60% of monthly earnings to a maximum of $5,000.

Saving for retirement is important! Merrill-Stevens offers a generous 401k plan to its employees. The plan allows pre-tax contributions from 1% to 75% with a company matching contribution of 50% of your elective deferral up to 6% of your compensation. The plan offers a wide range of investment solutions to meet your retirement needs allowing 12 different funds to choose from! 


Holidays and PTO
We celebrate 8 holidays per year which are New Year’s Day, Birthday of Martin Luther King Jr., Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. We also offer Paid Time Off hours that are accrued on a weekly basis starting from your first pay date.

English as a Second Language Classes
Merrill-Stevens is proud to  offer free  ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for non-native speaking employees. Fun and engaging conversations based on different topics of everyday life as well as work related terms and terminology. Speaking skills will be improved by participating in group and role-play presentation, guided conversation and vocabulary development activites.
